The kids classes here are brilliant. My son has been attending for a few months, and enjoys every session. Josh and Robyn are great with all the kids. They're very patient and have helped my sons confidence grow. The atmosphere is very friendly and I couldn't recommend here enough to any parent looking to get their kids active.

I dropped in for the 6am class and it was amazing. Nicest guys you'll ever meet. Good, technical grappling, no egos and very welcoming for newcomers. Clean facility with lots of natural sunlight and good quality mats. If you're interested in starting BJJ or just passing through and want a good session then evolve BJJ is your starting point.

I cannot recommend Evolve Jiu-Jitsu highly enough. My daughter, who has struggled with low confidence and various challenges, has truly begun to come out of her shell since training with Ben and Josh. Their support, patience, and encouragement have made a huge difference in her growth and self-belief. The atmosphere at Evolve is incredibly welcoming—like one big family. All the kids are kind, respectful, and supportive of one another, which creates a safe and uplifting environment. We’re so grateful to have found this place!

I dropped in for an open mat here, really welcoming - met as soon as I walked in and made to feel welcome. Great facilities, private toilets, fridge. Big mat area, padded walls and high ceilings. Coaches were fantastic, as was the rest of the academy. Top standard of BJJ but very safe with it. I'd travel to come here specifically - definitely a destination BJJ Gym. Really appreciated the hard work that's gone into setting up and running it.

Moving to a new gym can be daunting, but I was made to feel welcome by Josh & Ben from the moment I walked in. Classes are well structured and suitable for experienced practitioners & beginners alike. Josh & Ben are attentive and on-hand to answer any questions. The energy in the gym is friendly & positive and the facility itself is modern, spacious and most importantly clean! There’s also a really good variety of classes throughout the week, which was a big factor in why I decided to train at Evolve. Regardless of what I’ve got going on with work or family, I’m able to get a decent amount of training in because there’s loads of classes available at times convenient for me. I’d highly recommend Evolve for anyone wanting to train in BJJ in the Teesside area.

My son has absolutely loved Ju-Jitsu since starting two months ago this is down to the dedication and hands on approach of the coaches Ben and Josh. They make sure the children have fun whilst also making sure they understand both techniques, the self Discipline and control needed for the the sport. I’d refer anyone to them thinking about their child joining the gym they do an amazing job.

I can't recomend this gym highly enough. I started returning to bjj after lengthy back problems, all of my training partners and instructors were very accommodating, enabling me to gradually get back to full training without getting injured. The gym itself is very welcoming, great bunch of people and great instructors. In addition to this, there's a number of higher level belts who are happy to give you tips while rolling or drilling and answer questions on how to improve. Classes on mornings, lunch times and evenings mean I can normally get to 2-3 a week even with a busy schedule. I've been training 2 months now and my bjj has improved alot even in that short time frame. Anyone starting or continuing bjj in the stockton area should definitely train here.

Cant put into words how impressed I am with the class! First night for both my boys tonight (7&5) and they have come out BUZZING and cant wait to go back tomorrow. My youngest was adamant he didn't want to come or even join in when we first got there and with in minuets he was running around playing and warming up with the other kids. He got a bit shy and didn't want to join in when class started properly so Josh took him on his own and helped him and with in minuets his confidence was amazing and he was ready to join in the group! The way they are with the kids is just incredible! Asked them if they liked it and my youngest said no he 'LOVED LOVED IT' so that says enough for me, as he's not wanted to to any activity or club in the past!

Evolve BJJ is a top up and coming gym The atmosphere was incredibly welcoming from the the first step on the mats, everyone's like family and the coaches are legit gold medalist jiu-jitsu professionals, so you're learning from the best. The quality of training is top-notch. Training at evolve is on another level with beginner gi and no gi all the way upto competition training, If you want a jiu-jitsu gym that's got the perfect blend of expertise and good craic this is it. Evolve BJJ gets a solid 10/10 from me.
